Reyhanli Library
It is a library building in Reyhanlı, Hatay. The border town, which has undergone ethnic and cultural changes due to the Syrian civil war, has also received a significant influx of people from central Hatay after the major earthquake. The population, which has possibly increased 5-6 times over the past 4-5 years, is predominantly made up of young people and children. The project aims to create an inward-looking oasis in a dense, chaotic, and dusty city. It strives to be more of a ‘third place’ than a traditional library.
